Tour 1 : Wat umong + Doi suthep at night
You can see Doi Suthep both day and night in the same day.
We pick up at 5.00-5.40 go to Wat Umong temple. Wat Umong, an important ancient site that has been in Chiang Mai for over 700 years, Phraya Kue Na built a tunnel here for Phra Mahathera Chan to use as a place for meditation. The inner wall therefore has many passages that can be walked through. There are also old mural paintings inside the tunnel. On top of the tunnel is the 700-year-old Lanna-style pagoda. The surrounding area is beautiful with various types of trees. The atmosphere is refreshing and shady, especially during the rainy season when lush green moss covers the area around the temple, the pagoda, and the front of the tunnel, making this place uniquely beautiful.
And then we will visit Wat Phrathat Doi Sutep. Then Climb a staircase of 306 steps leading to Doi Suthep temple. This staircase leading to the site is adorned with the impressive body of the mythical dragon-headed serpent, or Naga, snaking its way down 306steps. This is definitely the best way to approach the temple but there is also a funicular railway if you are less steady on your feet. Reaching the top, admire the Lanna style golden pogoda covered with engraved gold plates, flanked by four ornamental umbrellas and fantastic Night city view from the mountain.
Visiting these sites at night gives you an unforgettable memory of Chiang Mai
