Tour 11 : Doi Suthep + Long Neck Karen + Lunch + Sticky Waterfall
We left at 7:00 AM and then drove to Doi Suthep-Pui National Park to visit Wat Doi Suthep, a must-see when visiting Chiang Mai as it is the most important temple in Chiang Mai. It is a beautiful temple with dazzling golden colors. Then visit the Long Neck Karen tribe and other tribes in the same area, then have lunch at a local restaurant. After that, drive to Namtok Niao or Namtok Bua Tong in Chiang Mai Province. It is a natural limestone waterfall that you can climb up easily because calcium carbonate has been flowing here for a long time and coating the rocks of the waterfall, making the rocks cream to white, turning them into a hard and non-slip limestone stream. It was a fun experience climbing the sticky rocks up to the waterfall with a beautiful view of the forested mountains before heading back to Chiang Mai.
